Dachshund

The Dachshund breed originated in Germany 300 years ago and they were bred primarily to hunt badgers and other small rodents. They come in two sizes: standard and miniature, which are further distinguished by their coat variants: smooth, long and wire-haired. Dachshunds also make excellent pets and show dogs. Despite their small stature, they have a powerful bark.
